Ling Yu 零雨 was born in 1952 in Taipei. She received a BA degree in Chinese Literature from National Taiwan University and an MA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Ling Yu was the editor of Xiandai shi 現代詩 [Modern poetry] quarterly from 1985 to 1991 and has taught at the National Ilan University since 1992. Nine collections of her poetry have been published, the latest of which is Nü’er 女兒 [Daughter] (2022).
