Renditions no. 99 is devoted to translations of modern poetry from Taiwan, as expertly collected and edited by Michelle Yeh. The poems represent a variety of authors and time periods and together serve to showcase the vital role poetry plays in contemporary writing from Taiwan. The issue also includes Michael A. Fuller’s meticulous review of 170 Chinese Quatrains: Classical Chinese Poetry of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) as translated by Philip Watson.
